Colonial Charm and Natural Beauty

Admire the architecture of this quaint colonial city as you walk its’ streets, visit the cathedrals, museums and then immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Isletas on Lake Cocibolca.

Granada was founded by Francisco Hernández de Cordoba in 1524 and is one Nicaragua´s most important cities. One of the main attractions is the colonial heritage which is displayed through its’ architecture. When walking around the colorful streets, we will learn about the history of Granada. We will also visit the tower of La Merced Church for an amazing view and The San Francisco Museum which hosts a collection of Pre-Columbian Statuaries. Enjoy an old-fashioned horse carriage ride during this tour and then continue to the shores of Lake Cocibolca, where we will go by boat to Las Isletas, an archipelago of 365 small islands created by the eruption of Mombacho approximately 23,000 years ago.
